Farewell to My President & First Lady

I almost cannot put into words, and sometimes I can't, how sad I feel to know that my President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush will be leaving Washington, D.C., tomorrow afternoon with the word 'Former' in front of their current respective titles. I don't know the Bushes personally, yet I feel like I am losing a dear friend. President Bush is the first politician that I volunteered for. I made calls to strangers and knocked on strangers' doors, all at the young age of 13. I went to two campaign rallies, and even got to touch his hand at one. Someday, I hope to get to do more than just touch his hand, I hope to shake it. President Bush has done much for the Pro-Life movement, and for the War on Terror. I believe history will credit him as a great President who tirelessly worked to keep his country safe from harm. I also am thankful to God for a man such as George W. Bush to be so open about his Christian faith. It has been such a great honor to have President George W. Bush as my President these past 8 years.
I have great respect for President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush. They are wonderful, down to earth, classy, and humble people.

President Bush and First Lady Laura,

You will both be sadly missed,
fondly remembered, and never forgotten.

God Bless You Both!
